
Lithuanian boys and Polish girls win AGON Floorball Tournament
AGON Project’s International Floorball Tournament for 13 – 15 year old boys and girls was played in Kocēni sports centre, Latvia on 18th-20th September. Tournament was organized by Latvian Floorball Union and Latvian Sports Federation’s Council. Teams from Latvia, Lithuania, Estonia and Poland participated in the event.
For three days young floorball players from four countries had tournament games, relay races, various cultural and social activities. On 19th September all participants attended ELVI Floorball League opening match celebration in Cēsis which involved street floorball tournament, fastest shot contest, accuracy competition, physical activities with Latvian olympian Jolanta Dukure, march from city center to Cēsis sports complex and the main event – match between “Lekrings” and “Mogo-RTU/Rockets”.
In the boys category Lithuania took the first place with two wins and one draw.

In the girls category Poland, Latvia and Estonia won two games each and positions were decided on goal difference.

Award ceremony was held after the tournament. President of Latvian Floorball Union Ilvis Pētersons presented the trophies to all teams, best players and contest winners.
